Hooba's
Labor Day Hooba’s & Fitzgerald’s Fine Wines Presents:The Gorge Wine Challenge
Labor Day Weekend August 27-Sept 1, 2008
This unique event will be held at Hooba’s at Husum Hills Golf Course located in the heart of the Gorge just north of Hood River, OR. The event will focus on Washington and Oregon Wines and will include winemakers judging other producers wins prior to the public event of tasting, gala dinner, and wine tours around the Gorge.
August 27th – Winemakers judging, 2 entries per winery – red and white
August 28th – Event participant and volunteer BBQ
August 29th – Public tasting, at Hooba;s including local foods and Washington Cheeses
August 30th – Gala dinner featuring the winning wines paired with a menu created by Chef Michel Leborgne of the New England Culinary Institute
August 31st and September 1 – Wine Tours throughout the Gorge AVA and opportunities for other recreational pursuits.
